Fun Springtime Prints Have me Completely Twitterpated

I showed you a flamingo print on Monday, and today it is lemons.  These fun springtime prints have me completely Twitterpated!  You remember “twitterpated” from the movie Bambi? Right? Here is how Friend Owl explained it to Flower, Thumper, and Bambi:

Friend Owl: Yes. Nearly everybody gets twitterpated in the springtime. For example: You’re walking along, minding your own business. You’re looking neither to the left, nor to the right, when all of a sudden you run smack into a pretty face. Whoo-whoo! You begin to get weak in the knees. Your head’s in a whirl. And then you feel light as a feather, and before you know it, you’re walking on air. And then you know what? You’re knocked for a loop, and you completely lose your head!

For me, the story goes that I was walking along in Marshall’s, minding my own business, and the pretty face of these lemons just smacked me in my own face.  I have ordered the lemon pin from Chico’s below to go with this ensemble.  I don’t think I completely lost my head…this blouse only cost $16, but I could see with the right prints, where I could be dangerously knocked for a loop!  I must prefer flamingoes and lemons to flowers on my tops.

So, I ask you this lovely day in April…what has you Twitterpated for spring??  Are you thinking shoes, a fun bag,  more colorful garments, dresses, shorts…what causes you to walk on air when you think about it.? I am loving the prints on button down tops right now…but I have to say some colorful jewelry pieces have me counting jewelry instead of sheep!

About the outfit:

Except for the blouse and the new Chico’s denim, the rest of the outfit is from my closet and past purchases.  The white tuxedo jacket was Chico’s about three years ago.  The Steve Madden shoes also came from Marshall’s maybe five years back.  The bracelet was found at a thrift shop.  I liked the citrus theme with the oranges complimenting the lemons!  Here is the denim I am wearing

Fun times…join in and….. KEEP SMILING!!

  1. This is such a happy and light look for spring! Just lovely Pam! Spring comes much more slowly where I live, and it quickly moves straight into summer from there! Seeing your spring choices has made me consider ways to start incorporating lighter pieces while still recognizing the need to stay warm. I’m having lunch today with some former co-workers, and I’m going to use your look for some spring inspiration when choosing what to wear. Going for the white jacket for certain!

  2. Just too cute! Loving the spring fever tops! – the denims look so slimming, Pam ! May I ask which Chico’s style? – flamingos & lemons! I’m feeling twitterpated!????

  3. I’m loving your “Spring” looks! One thing that gets me “twitterpated” about Spring is….Pedicures! Sounds silly, I guess — but I love picking a new color each Spring! Then I transition to a Summer color! I wear lots of open toe shoes/sandals when the weather warms up, so pedicures and pretty polish colors always get me “Twitterpated”! Also – Easter! Easter really is the start of my “warm weather” transitioning. Getting the yard ready for Easter Sunday – flowers planted in pots, ferns put out on the front porch, yards mowed, trimmed – ready for those grands and our Easter egg hunt! Love this time of year!

  4. I think you’re on to something with the print theory thing………I, too, would pick flamingos or citrus over floral prints. Probably about ten years back now I had a delightful spring sweater with small flamingos and palm trees stitched all over the front. Loved that! Why, oh why did I purge that from my closet? It would be perfect again. I hope someone else loved it and wore it as much as I did.

  5. I have regrets like that Carol! I am second guessing myself more now. There are a few pieces I purged I miss a lot!

  6. Really cute outfit! I’d like to know the style of your pants from chico’s also. They look great!

  7. I meant to place them in my slideshow! So sorry… will fix that tonight!

  8. What a cheery post. Thanks for reminding us to look around and ^smell the lemons^!

  9. Ah Spring…..we are currently having an up and down Spring…two warm days followed by temps in the 30s and 40s and the wind! Cannot wait for true Spring to arrive here!
I love your blouses, and the citrus…wow! Want that one!
The other thing I love that you do is mixing the yellow/white with coral in shoes and jewelry. It’s really pretty!
    Thank you……you inspire.

  10. I love you flamingos & lemons. There are fun prints without being over the top. Spring is finally being to appear here in the Crossroads of America. I have a new pale pink blouse & am yearning for something in lavender. I guess pastels are on my agenda this year.

  11. So sweet…thanks Paulette. Full disclosure These pictures were taken in cold 40 degree wind. Where I live, one day it’s cold…the next day it’s hot!! I understand the weather challenges!

  12. Hope to hear from you soon, Becky, that you found the perfect lavender top!!
