Ways to Hire Me and Testimonials

More and more people are pleased with the results they receive from reviews or advertising on over50feeling40.  After a mention of her new book, Sharon Znaty recently wrote:

"You've Got Da Pow-wa!" (that's kind of sung in your head, with a high voice while pumping your palms in the air...)
The sales of my book really popped after you made your post on Friday! Many thanks, again!!! I was reading all the replies you received... What a following you have! Some people, I noticed, were looking for it at Barnes & Noble (I wish...) but it is only on Amazon (in Kindle and book form) and I thought I would give you the link, just in case you wanted to reply to their queries.
I hope you are having a great weekend and, once again, thank you for your kindness!
Your new BFF!

Sharon and others have discovered,

After over thirty years in communications, I believe I can assist organizations and businesses in a variety of ways.

In fact, check out THIS ARTICLE about the best way to reach your audience in 2014!

Advertising and Product Reviews

I am always excited to share products and services with my readers. I believe they are an audience interested in what is on the market. I am happy to discuss with you ways to get the word out and create some top of the mind awareness with a group of loyal readers which grows daily and is getting more attention from other media.  I have already been a part of several successful collaborations with companies like Foxcroft Collection, Betty Audish Handbags, Marie Bruns Jewelry, Tenevis by Good Feet Athletic Shoes, eshakti, Shabby Apple, Karina Dresses, Fresh Produce, Soft Surroundings, INPINK Jewelry, Le Metier de Beaute, hotterusa.com, Goodwill and Carmen Marc Valvo.

According to the Wall Street Journal, 5-21-09, "the fastest growing segment of Facebook users is women over 55...and the underlying assumption that young people are still the Web's most fertile market doesn't hold up to scrutiny.  In fact, 65% of online apparel sales go to women over age 35, according to market research NPD Group.  Among these, the fastest growing sales are to women between 55-64 years old - a boomer population that has always been known for its willingness to indulge."

Marketing

I do participate in sponsorships, product reviews, giveaways,  creative collaborations, discount codes, and some contextual affliate marketing links.  Because my writing is an integral part of this site, I will not sell text based links or link exchanges placed with in my copy.  I am available for personal appearances at your business, and will use Twitter, Facebook, and my other blogs to promote you as well!!  I am happy to discuss guest posts on a case by case basis.

Freelance Writing

I began writing in fifth grade (we will not discuss how long ago that was!) and continue to write today. In addition to this blog, I also write a version of over50feeling40 for the San Antonio Express News website (www.mysa.com). I have been a columnist for five years for the SA Beacon (circulation 18,000); and I currently write for three websites.

For over thirty years, I have written press releases, public relations materials and advertising copy as well as news/feature articles. I prefer to charge by the article than by the word, and a quote will be given when the size and scope of the assignment has been discussed with me.

I am also open to discussing new career opportunities!  As a writer, promoter, or spokesperson, I may be exactly what your company needs to take it forward towards great success!

Public Speaking

During the 1970s and 1980s, I was a media spokesperson for two national organizations. I also co-hosted a radio program for four years. I have taught public speaking to high school students for the past eight years. I believe I am an excellent motivational speaker and always receive positive feedback to any presentations I have been asked to perform.  I am also an excellent panel moderator and would be a well received choice to MC your fashion show.  I have taught public speaking for eight years, and I have been a public speaker since my own high school years!!

Of course, if travel is required for your event, funds must be provided for the travel as well as the time speaking. Once the size and scope of the event is discussed with me, a quote will be provided.

TESTIMONIALS:

Your blog in the San Antonio Express News turned out just wonderfully, and I can't thank you enough for the great job you did on it!  It went straight to my FaceBook page, and Heather and I have been thrilled by all the positive response to the piece and to the book.  Amazon sales have been going through the roof this week, and I know your writings have had a lot to do with it  -Valerie Ramsey

Thank you so much for your time and work on this Fresh Produce review, you exceeded my expectations! Love the way you styled it with the pop of color from the scarf!  I just wanted to write a quick thank you and let you know that I'd love to stay in touch with you and work with you on future opportunities as they arise!  -Joanne representing Fresh Produce

Dear Sr Editor:
This past weekend the story on Breaking Down Racial Barriers: One Pitch at a Time featured on the front page and written by Pam Lutrell was very powerful.
I have read some of Pam's other work and as a fellow author, I have found her writing very compelling. That said, I would be grateful to have the opportunity to share a fascinating story about Life After the Military with Pam. This is timely given our huge military presence here in San Antonio and the immense need to promote hope for those returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Pam, this is a WONDERFUL and lovely review – one of my favorites! I am patting myself on the back right now for finding you J Thank you so much. -Tirtza of Hydrochic (Feb. 20, 2013)

After a post about a great place in SA to get a pedicure, one reader wrote  I found this a couple of months ago, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting it! He is absolutely incredible! A no-pain pedicure that keeps my ingrown toenails at bay is something I thought was only a dream, but I've had three now and my feet have never felt better! I go every two to three weeks now and, while I'd usually consider that a luxury expense that I wouldn't indulge in, with him, I consider it preventative health care, due to the alternating excruciating pain and numbness that I used to suffer from. (Plus, as a mom of an infant, it's a nice thing I can do to take care of myself, which I'm usually really bad at.) Thanks again!

You know the feeling when you’ve had a hard day in the “real world” and come home, turn the key, open the door, and enter the private world of your refuge called your home? Well, that is how I feel when I read your words, Pam, either on GenFab on your blog. You speak to me, and reach my heart. Thank you for helping me to balance my own seesaw. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one working on that balance

Thank you!  And I wish you great good luck as you pursue your career.  I have no doubts that you will be very very successful.  It sounds to me like you already are”  -Valerie Ramsey, author of Gracefully Looking and Being Your Best at any Age

Dear Pam,
I have been a follower of your blog for a long time and I just wanted to say, I Love It!  You are real and never try to hide it.  I am 53 and so many times I felt down or depressed, read your blog and felt better about me.  I am not a size 6, as so many seem to feel I should be.  I am me.
I have been working on trying to be the person I know I can be……
You look stunning and very Coco. How I enjoy opening your post every day. It is always uplifting, entertaining and so supportive of les femmes d'un certain age
I love your blog so much.  When I first began checking out style and beauty blogs, they were all by 20-something girls.  I wanted inspiration and motivation to, as my motto goes, "be the best woman-of-a-certain-age" that I can be...and I was so happy to find your blog and a few others like it!
Hi Pam,

I'm presently spending a semester teaching English in Dalian, China where internet service is poor and many websites are blocked. I've given up reading most of my favourite fashion blogs because I either can't access them at all or I can't see the pictures. Without the photos, most of them don't have much to say but I just had to let you know that, in spite of the fact that I can't usually see the pictures on yours either (sad about that!), I continue to receive it via email and I read every post because even without the pictures, you have something worthwhile to say to women. Keep up the good work!

Elaine @ Following Augustine
Rarely do I comment on blogs, but I have to say that this is one blog that I look forward to reading every single day. Pam -- you are such a down-to-earth person and I just love your attitude. I enjoy seeing the pictures of Gigi and Miss Joy. Keep up the good work my fellow Texan!

I don't think I've read another blog that researches and informs about fashion more thoroughly! I'm so impressed by the research...you're doing a lovely (and authoritative) job. Visited your "Mission" page...Hooray! Very cool. Lynaea (March 2013)

Pam, YOU ARE THE OPRAH FOR US!!  - Paula

Finally, I found a website like yours J Well done…and I have only begun to look it over….Since I’m Canadian, I hadn’t heard of Eileen Fisher…but now I have and her clothes are beautiful knits…love, love, love. I like to mix with crisp cottons, especially this time of year.  Glad I found you!

Pam – what an inspirational post.  I so enjoy having my morning cup of coffee and reading your blog.  Have a great day!

Thank you for the sweetest post ever! I think of you every time I shop at Kohl's, and although it seems like a small thing, it's an odd special joy - as though I have a friend shopping with me in my strange new city. Merry Christmas, you lovely woman!

Your words are perfect to start each day…every encouraging! You are a wonderful person, Pam…I hope someday to meet!

I found your blog recently. In so many of the blogs they are wearing very short skirts and very high heels. I can wear neither. Your blog is showing age appropriate clothes. Glad I found you!!!!!!!!

In case you didn't know -- your photojournalist skills are superb!  You always make me want to visit the shop you've featured, and Angelita's looks fabulous. Have fun with your shopping and please report back on the outcomes.

Hello! I just found your blog and I think it's AMAZING! The pics are great and I can see that You really like what you do here! I love people with great ideas, like you! Your blog is inspiring! I will follow you!

I truly love your posts.  You have a great gift and express yourself beautifully.
Well written.

Pam, you always have a positive attitude which makes reading your blog special even when the news is not good.

Hey, hun…I just discovered your blog, and really love it!!! You have great style and are really inspiring.  Definitely have a new follower and a fan!

I love this series you’re doing Pam.  And I love the story about the $30 suit!! Way to get your cost per wear.  You look lovely and very warm/approachable/confident.  P.S. I mentioned your color series in my latest post

Congrats!!  I also love how you wrote how each picture inspires you!! I think that is great how you can get so inspired by the little things in life.  I love these posts…Keep em comin’…

Pam, I love your post and just listened to your discussion with Kristen!! You are so inspiring!

Pam, that was fun (radio interview)!!  You have so much to say to inspire us!  THANK YOU!!!!  I cannot wait to have you on the show again!

I love blogs that are warm too, Pam.  That’s why I look forward to your posts.
I’m not surprised that you like blogs that are warm, welcoming and friendly because that is precisely what I get from you and your blog and why I love it every day.  Thanks for bringing us so much joy!

Finally, a blog with attitude and a positive outlook about us..the women of a certain age!

You know why you write this blog? Because you inspire women like me. I went through a bit of a midlife crisis when it came to fashion and because of blogs like yours, I’m having more fun than I EVER did in my twenties/thirties.  So seriously, keep it up and thank you.
I will read your blog no matter what.

I’m not a fashionista.  I’ll never be one and I’m good with that; becoming one isn’t something that will ever be jotted down on my “bucket list.”  I’m a stay-at-home grandmother so I don’t get dressed everyday to go to a workplace.

We live in a city, but it’s a smallish one and is surrounded by farming communities.  This place I love so much is about as far from urban as the north is from the south and looking overtly stylish is to stand out like a sore thumb when running into Walmart for a gallon of milk.  With that in mind, I say “Bless You!” I’ve found inspiration from so many outfits on your site, things that I can modify and downplay a little so that it’s more appropriate for my rural suburban life.  The outfit you put together for this challenge is one of those that I am definitely going to copy.

I can remember feeling so excited the first time I visited Pam’s blog. I was so happy to find a fabulous fashion blogger who was 40ish!

Pam has done an AWESOME job showing her loyal readers that fashion and life do not stop after 40!  She is super savvy, has one of the kindest hearts I know, and is loved by her readers near and far.

Pam rocks! She really is an essential part of Style Nation!

This post is wonderful tonic for our self esteem.  We have value just because we exist! You are as lovely inside, as outside, Pam.  I adore your posts!

You are so kind to reach out to your readers this way.  We all have our struggles!

Fantastic and inspiring words!

This is such an incredible idea!  I love this!

This is so smart…I need to give this a try!
