Colors To Think About As You Shop

This is the Pantone Color Palette for Fall 2017, and the colors you will see in fashion and interior design.  I always take a look at these while doing my July sale shopping, because I want to select clothing which carries me into fall and which is current!

Of course, I do not wear them all…or even like them all.  But, here are my favorites from this selection:

Tawny Port
Butter Rum
Navy Peony
Neutral Gray
Shaded Spruce
Autumn Maple

I doubt I will wear the other colors…whether they are on trend or not.  The Navy Peony is being offered as a softer neutral to black for the fall, and I would love to have some navy options in my closet.

What about you?  What are your favorites here?  Is there one you particularly hate or love?

It is always good to know what the industry is planning and then go out to find the pieces which communicate what you want to say about you.

Happy Thursday!

  1. I love Golden Lime — it's not for everyone, but it's a good color for me. I also like Butterum and Navy Peony. I have some of these colors already so it will be easy to incorporate more into my wardrobe. Thanks, Pam!

  2. I've already begun to see pieces in the spruce color, which I like very much. Also a few variations on the tawny port…some lighter and softer which appeal to me. And now that I've warmed up to navy, will be on the lookout for that one too.

  3. My coloring is similar to yours. I look better in jewel tones and saturated colors. I agree with the colors you chose. I need to fill a few wardrobe gaps for fall and winter, so I'll nude this as a guide!

  4. I'll be looking for Tawny Port; also the Marina blue and Navy Peony for Cool hues. Really not crazy about Golden Lime which would make me look ill. I've
also seen some variations of Port and was excited to see this color for fall. Thanks Pam for sharing the Pantone colors for fall.
