Fashion Over 50: Celebrating Classics

I began the week celebrating classic style in MY METROSTYLE HOUNDSTOOTH SKIRT and I want to continue the discussion today.  I have heard some say classics are boring….but I tend to disagree.  Classics are reliable, chic, always a good choice, and confidence builders.

I know this outfit will work because black & white, pearls, and a touch of leopard are always in style and are a perfect way to rock your holidays and holiday parties.

These gorgeous KALILA PIPING BOOTIE are in the Rockport TOTAL MOTION COLLECTION which has easily become my favorite comfort line.  What is great about it is you have gorgeous style and comfort at the same time.  I wear shoes from this line almost every day to work…exceptionally comfortable for my funky, aging feet!
I also prefer a classic pointed toe because it elongates the look and is slimming.
Never think classics are boring.  You can never go wrong with your style this way.
Happy Wednesday!

  1. This outfit works for me on so many levels. I love classics and never find them to be boring. Black and white always works, is seasonless, and all around classy. The small touch of leopard is a fun, modern addition to this fabulous outfit! I am drawn to black and white items whenever I'm shopping!

  2. I'm with you. The classics are never boring. It's been a bit of a crazy fall so haven't been visiting other blogs for a while…so I hope you are well and the new job is going great!
