Hit Your Style Sweet Spot: Affordable Fashions for Women over 50!

Welcome to a fun collaboration with Jennifer of A Well Styled Life and Pam of over50feeling40.  We desire for all of us… the fabulous women over 50 …to look and feel our best each and every day.  After years of blogging for this audience, we have heard from so many of you about your discouragement and despondency when you look in the mirror every morning.  But, we both know just how transformative style can be, and hope to encourage you right here each week.  We want to see all of us empowered with strength, joy, and confidence.

I am so happy to be back with HIT YOUR STYLE SWEET SPOT…Jennifer and I took last week off and I missed it!  This week we return to discussing affordable fashions for women over 50, and CHADWICK’S OF BOSTON is one of the best options out there.  Regular readers know I am all about career wear right now and the more affordable, the better…but it has to be quality and flow with the rest of my wardrobe.  Chadwick’s has not disappointed me with their quality one bit.  We are catching them between seasons, so their are some amazing prices and they tell me, autumn is going to blow us away with their styles.

I am pondering an order for two more of these LONG LENGTH BOYFRIEND CARDIGANS…they come in many colors…fit great…lightweight…and are a youthful way to complete a skirt or pant look.

The NAVY PLAID will deepen my pencil skirt collection…a great pencil skirt flatters almost any figure is the perfect professional wear garment.  This FULLY LINED PENCIL SKIRT is perfect, quality work wear and comes in many print and color options.

I was out of sheer navy hose, so that is why you were not treated to a complete head to toe look…but I do see this outfit going multi-seasons and am looking forward to styling the skirt with a sweater when cool breezes blow.  The cardigan is much lighter than a fitted suit-style jacket right now.

Check out the whole site HERE…you can find some budget pleasing clothing right now.  Now, let’s go see what affordable options JENNIFER OF A WELL STYLED LIFE has for us!

Have a wonderful week…share a smile with all those around you!

  1. This look really appeals to me. Navy is one of my favorite neutrals. And I also collect pencil skirts. I will have to give Chadwicks a try!

  2. Hi Karen, I am really impressed so far…these skirts are amazing quality for the price. I would love to won a couple more in other colors. Make sure you take your measurements and check with the sizing…I had to go up a size from my normal sizing in other places…but I don't mind for a great fit and style. It doesn't matter what the number says inside…only I know!

  3. I love this look! Pencil skirts are so flattering. I think that boyfriend cardigan will be a perfect winter staple. I missed them in the website so heading back to check them out. Navy looks beautiful on you Pam!

  4. Hi Pam,
You look great as always. Can you please tell me what color of shoes you would wear with this outfit? I am guessing a neutral color. Also, is the blouse navy too that is underneath the cardigan? Thanks!

  5. I was wearing silver flats with this look…but, with navy sheer hose, I would wear my navy shoes and I just picked up a fun pair of navy oxfords which I think will look really fun in fall. This blouse is a navy sleeveless collared top but it also looks very nice with a collared white sleeveless top and Chadwicks has some nice ones currently on their site. Thanks for stopping by!

  6. I'm thinking it may not surprise you I have never ever ever ever ever ever tried a pencil skirt. I think it's time!!

  7. I love a longer cardigan sweater. I had a meeting a couple of years ago on balls for chairs. My top was not that long and my pants well, enough said, since then I like a longer look!

  8. Chadwick's–I didn't know they were still around, or that their clothes were so stylish (either I've "matured" or they've kept up with the times–I prefer to think the latter!). The cardigan is timeless…gotta get on their mailing list. Thanks, Pam!
