What I Wore to the Fashion Show….

Yes, last night I went to a fashion show and it was a wonderful event.  Today, I am going to show you what I wore and what some of the other audience members wore and next week, I will treat you to the show!

The wonderful creators of ARTFUL HOME like to say they feature artistic, statement pieces with panache.  I am here to confirm that is true.  This is quite a fabulous statement to make.

It is currently my favorite garment and I know I will wear this one often! I only wish my hair did not reflect the long day I had prior to the event.  I asked one woman over 50 why she attended last night. She replied…”I am in the time of my life when I can afford quality, beautiful pieces of clothing…and I intend to enjoy each piece!”  I can tell you…I am enjoying this jacket!

THE LUNA JACKET is designed by artist LAURA HUNTER, and utilizes a Japanese technique called Shibori.  Shibori involves binding and dying fabric in a way to create patterns of color and/or texture.  This piece is handmade using the fold and clamp form called itajime shibori. The fabric is silk and wool…and is gorgeous!

Now, let’s look at what some of the other ladies were wearing….

This jumpsuit was fabulous, a picture does not do it justice and she looked amazing in it.

There was a lot of blue and black, so for many reasons, I felt very comfortable and confident in my ARTFUL HOME JACKET.

Sometime next week, I will bring you the spring runway trends…they are stunning.

  1. Oh Pam, this will be one of my favorite blog post, you have shown me real women in great wardrobe silhouettes, all figure types and wardrobe style are represented in your photos. The main image I see are beautiful and confident women. Thanks for the post.

  2. You looked so…. arty. That is the right word. Very much the part. Indeed a beautiful jacket. And your necklace was the perfect choice to go with it.
All the other ladies show their best as well.
