Procera AVH: For Brain Health

“I am participating in a VIN campaign for Procera. I am receiving a fee for posting; however, the opinions expressed in this post are my own. I am in no way affiliated with Procera and do not earn a commission or percent of sales.”

She would sit in a chair for hours working word puzzles...over and over again...book after book. And she did this for over ten years once she realized her memory was fading.  Each puzzle, each word was a grip on her present moment and cry to slow the inevitable.

I watched my mother and my mother in law dragged into the depths of dementia and it is frightening.  One of the reasons I stay active and busy is so I will not literally lose my mind.  I suppose work has become my own form of word puzzles.
This is why I was anxious to learn more and then tell you about this product PROCERA AVH.

First, there are many things we can do to keep our brains healthy:

  • The brain is the most important organ in the body. It controls involuntary activities such as heartbeat, respiration and digestion as well as important conscious activities such as thought, reasoning and abstraction.
  • Neurotransmitters are the brain chemicals that communicate information throughout the brain and body. But an estimated 86 percent of Americans have sub-optimal neurotransmitter levels – due to stress, poor diet, drugs, alcohol and other causes.
  • A constant supply of blood keeps the brain healthy and functioning properly, as it carries vital food and oxygen to the brain and body.
  • Your brain requires a number of vitamins and minerals to function properly. For example, three B vitamins – folic acid, B6 and B12 – are all related to healthy brain function.
  • Make sure you are getting enough of these essential vitamins, and consider taking a supplement to boost your brain power even further.  I do take supplements.
  • Other things that can positively impact brain health and cognitive function are: exercise, rest, a healthy diet, social supports, hobbies and interests, and avoidance of stress.  My mother was inactive, unhappy every day with life and the people in her life, and she created stress. So, I know these played a role in her deterioration.
  • Mental exercise, lifelong curiosity and creativity, and social activity and support can also keep your mind engaged, acute, and performing well no matter what your age. I love this last one!

Here are points about PROCERA AVH which Make good sense to me:
  • Procera AVH is a non-prescription nutritional supplement that supports brain health and cognitive function.
  • Since its introduction in 2005, Procera AVH has been used over 150 million times and is available in all major chain pharmacies and leading specialty retailers throughout the U.S. It is also available on ProceraHealth.com.
  • Its patented, triple-action formula supports brain health and cognitive function by promoting blood flow, supporting vital neurotransmitters and providing a layer of protection.
  • PROCERA AVH consists of three primary ingredients that work together to support brain health and cognitive function:
    • Acetyl-l-carnitine is a natural ingredient that enhances neurotransmitters, which help control and regulate key brain and body functions. It is naturally produced by the body, but production drops as we age.
    • Vinpocetine is derived from natural extract and enhances blood flow to the brain.
    • Huperzine A is a natural ingredient extracted from Chinese Club Moss (Huperia serrata).  It helps keep your acetylcholine levels up, so your synapses can fire fast and efficiently, and provides a layer of antioxidant protection for the brain.
  • The natural ingredients in Procera AVH promote blood and oxygen flow to the brain. They also support key neurotransmitters and provide neuroprotection, which are important for maintaining brain health.
I am look forward to adding Procera AVH to my daily routine...because, honestly, I am not good at puzzels!

  1. I am not good at puzzles, either, but Ruth Curran's book has some easy ones that I do in my head while walking Riley. IN fact, M and I do them together sometimes!

  8. I worry about dementia, too, but I worry about taking just anything more: http://supplement-geek.com/proceraavh-review-ingredients-side-effects-research/ Kind of sounds like a scam.

    1. Hi Jenny, In the post I stated that I had just found out about the product and just received the samples. I said I was looking forward to see how it is. So, I am too new to the product to make any observations. I am taking it, and will be happy to report back what I learn. Thanks for stopping by!
