Goodwill SA: End of Summer Fun

Oh autumn…where are you?  Well, it is not quite time yet!  There are still days of heat, entertaining, and Labor Day Weekend on the calendar!  Occasionally, I want something different to wear at the end of a season, but do not want to spend a lot on a garment I might not wear often.

The answer in San Antonio is GOODWILL SA.  I picked up this summer jacket recently for $4.99.  It is such a cute transition piece and you can’t beat the price.  I would much rather go to Goodwill SA and find something for a song…as I often say, it is my way of treasure hunting.  Goodwill SA will celebrate their 70th anniversary this year in our city and I am so honored to work with them.  They make such a difference by giving jobs and job training back to our thriving community.  What great work they do!  I know when I shop there, I am also helping others.

But, Maddie & I will keep looking for autumn to arrive…the heat index will be about 105 this week…whew!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

  1. I love thrift store shopping! The little shop here in our rural community is run by volunteers from the four local churches and helps support the work they do in the community and beyond. Yesterday, I found a brand new set of wine glasses still in their box for $2.00 and a lovely scarf with it's store tag still on for $1.00!
