To Wear Foundation or Not to Wear Foundation...(And the Winner Is...)

There are some midlife ladies who love wearing foundation and some prefer the natural look...that's our discussion today on MIDLIFE BOULEVARD...to cover or not to cover!

Join me to read ten considerations you should take into account before you make that important foundation decision.  See you in

Now, for the big news!  The winner of the gorgeous Carole Weaks Jewelry is  Gail Whitworth from Canada!  Congratulations, Gail...Carole is so talented and her creations are gorgeous!

Have a happy Tuesday!

  1. I am very devoted to my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and wear it on days when I am wearing makeup. I definitely need it, it is very lightweight and wonderful. I highly recommend it! I tried out the new Dior foundation, a bit more coverage than the tinted moisturizer and I think I will get that next. I also tried Bobbi Brown's foundation stick and wow, do I love that stuff. That's on the makeup wish list too. Bobbi B's could easily double as a concealer, which I find a tricky purchase these days because of dryness under the eyes. As you can tell, I love makeup! XO, Jill

  2. i swear by Bobbi Brown's tinted moisturizer. i wear it over regular moisturizer and use her concealer stick for those "spots." I never wore foundation-like makeup so it's hard to start now.

  3. I've been curious about this brand but not tried it.. My foundation is currently almost empty so maybe I'll try this one. I only wear a tiny little bit to cover the odd spots here and there so it last forever!!
thanks for sharing this product with us!

  4. I've been wearing Bare Minerals for about 8 years now and am still loving it. However, I'm hearing so much about Bobbi Brown that I think I need to give it a try! Thanks for sharing your preference, it may be on my next Sephora shopping list.

  5. There was an important factor missed out here, any foundation with spf helps protect our skin from the sun, one of the most ageing things there is. So for me I dont leave the house without it

  6. Hi Pam! I like Bobbi Brown and was wearing it for awhile, i have fair skin, so it can be tricky to match, i still like BB but found NARS liquid illuminating foundation to work for my fair skin. I am going to do a post soon on makeup for fair skin. Have a great week!

  7. I love wearing foundation but not too much to look like a mask. Our makeup artist did a fantastic job, wish I had paid more attention to details so that I could duplicate the look.

  8. I like Bobbi Brown foundation for winter and Skinceuticals Tinted Sunscreen for the summer.

  9. I've been a devotee of Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer for many years. I add a light dusting of her translucent loose powder to set it in summer, and compact powder to set it in winter. You'll find that compact powder is less drying for winter, because they use moisture to form it into a compact. Of course, it doesn't last as long as loose powder. There's always a trade off.

    Cheers, M-T
