A Transformed, I MATTER Woman....and the Thursday Blog Hop!

This beautiful, intelligent woman is artist Lucy Peveto.  Her works were displayed as a part of the Neiman Marcus Spring Trend Event at the Shops of La Cantera last week.

Both Lucy and her art inspired me and I knew she was a perfect feature for I MATTER day.

Lucy's life and art are all about transformation.  In 2002, she received her law degree in Texas.  But, soon realized law was not what filled her soul or gave her joy.  She granted herself permission to evolve and let her talents fly.

Working with a butterfly reserve, she is able to gather those insects which have passed on and include them in her artwork....creations completely inspired and dedicated to the power of transformation.  Her website explains, "Lucy Peveto is an attorney turned artist who seeks to show how lives can be transformed utilizing the butterfly. Butterflies represent her own life experience: the connection between creativity, emotion, and spirituality." Her work is showing around the world including France, New York and Santa Fe.  See more of her creations HERE.

Her talent is shining through...inspiring others...and all because she decided to say I MATTER!

If you could transform like a butterfly, what would it look like...where would you fly?

  20. Her art really resonates with me. As you know, I too went through my own transformation and used the butterfly as my own life metaphor. Butterflies represent hope in my life.
