Marie Callender’s Frozen Desserts: Dressed Up for the Holidays

It is officially that special time of year…hustling,
bustling, shopping, partying, and sometimes entertaining with a moment’s
notice. Because so much happens between now and New Year’s Day, it is nice to
have assistance when family or friends unexpectedly drop by to gather round the
fireplace or the big game!
MARIE CALLENDER’S FROZEN DESSERTS have become trusted friends
over the years.  I can grab one from the
freezer…dress it up a bit…and take it out to guests for a homemade, warm and
toasty holiday feeling.
Here’s an example.  Just
purchase the Marie Callender’s APPLE CRUMB COBBLER.  Before placing in the oven to bake, add 4-5
pats of butter to the top.

Then cook
according to directions…adding the crumb topping for the last ten minutes of
baking.  Of course, it is delicious right
out of the oven…but, if you want to dress it up for the season, do the following….
Pour the entire cobbler into a bowl while it is still hot…stir
in ½ teaspoon of Roasted Saigon Cinnamon (for a rich intense cinnamon spice
flavor which mixes well with the spices already there).  Cover the top with your
favorite caramel sauce and stir it all together.
Then, scoop onto a plate your favorite holiday ice cream….such
as, egg nog or cinnamon or pumpkin spice…or even pecan praline…then pour over the
ice cream your rich creamy apple dessert topping.  A little touch of whipped cream just makes
it holiday ready!  Serve with warm drinks
and the applause will follow.
You can dress it up and take it out!  Thanks to MARIE CALLENDERS frozen desserts…I
always look like a hospitality star!  Stop by and Like their FACEBOOK PAGE!! You might discover even more ideas.
