Princess Kate and I Don't Mind Bright!

Did you see the story this weekend about Princess Kate's green coat??...see it HERE ON WHAT KATE WORE!  Well, I thought of this story Saturday when leaving the house in my orange coat.

Why?

Because William told her the green coat was too bright and she shouldn't wear it.
She wore it anyway!
A woman after my own heart!!

Obviously, a bright coat does not bother me.  I told you last week, I purchased two of these Peter Nygard, cotton/linen jackets (HERE) at Dillard's on sale..one bright blue, one bright orange.

Then I stopped by CHICO'S and saw the no-iron blouse with the leopard detailing and immediately styled it in my head with this coat,,,of course, then it had to come home with me!

Speaking of CHICO'S...On May 14 I will be speaking at the location in the VILLAGE OF STONE OAK at 6:00!  Stop by and join us for refreshments, to see the new summer collection, and to discuss how to Reinvent and Refresh Your Style for Summer!!

Hope the local ladies can join us that evening!!  We will talk about visibility and how to enjoy fashion in our summer heat!!

A reader asked about my red leather purse...it is Ellen Tracy...and I got it at a garage sale in mint-condition!  Score!

Now, what do you think...should Kate have worn the coat??

Linking up with MONDAY MINGLE!

Happy, joyful Monday, everyone!!

  2. Love the orange jacket! It looks great on you! Princess Kate has wonderful style and yes, she was right to wear the green coat over the protests of her husband! The color is great with her hair and skin coloring. Karen

  4. The key terms were "and immediately styled it with..." Your mind just works that way. Wish mine did!
