Goodwill Grows: Fabulous Yet Oh So Frustrating!!

I just returned from one of the most fun…yet, frustrating evenings of my time as a blogger!

Tomorrow, San Antonio officially welcomes the opening of a new GOODWILL at Hwy.1604 and Bulverde Road…and it is 14,000 beautiful feet of pure fun!!

Tonight, local Goodwill bloggers were invited in for a preview before shoppers flood the store tomorrow morning!

It is gorgeous with beautiful glazed concrete floors; solar lights; rich neutral shades; and displays worthy of any top retail outlet.

Experienced store manager, Bobby, explained all of the research and development technology which will be used at this store and tested for others.

But, the most frustrating part??  We could not shop tonight!!  Oh, so hard to walk away…I am considering calling in sick tomorrow (just a joke!).

San Antonio, make sure you stop by on Saturday for the blogger workshops.  At 2:30, I will be discussing Fall Fashion Trends.  Hope you will join me!! (You will see me there shopping as well!)

Just remember all Goodwill does for our community. Every 14 seconds someone gets a job because of work done by Goodwill.

  1. As my grandmother used to say (she was very chic and an interior designer) "every room can use a touch of animal print." That could apply to most outfits, too!

  2. Goodwill must be the only outlet on earth that doesn't give fashion and lifestyle bloggers first dibs at the loot. Usually capsule collections on the high street sell out long before us regular folk can get a look in. I guess it's consistent with their mission, right enough, but no less frustrating for you! It's time for me to make a trip to San Antonio. The last time I was there was for Air Force boot camp in 1997!

  3. I went to the Grand Opening this morning with my mother. We arrived about 30 minutes after it opened and it was PACKED! We were lucky to find a parking space but once we entered it was full of people looking for a bargain. Because it was so crowded, I didn't get a chance to explore the entire store but it was well organized and full of merchandise. I found a vintage lamp brass lamp but waited OVER AN HOUR to pay. The managers seemed to do their best to get everyone through the line but it was still a little frustrating. I'll try to visit again when the grand opening excitement dies down.

  4. HI PAM!

Those heels, YES! I can handle them, I still can at my age!!!!

How lovely to see your comment today my dear. Yes, I think that what never goes out of fashion or goes obsolete is kindness and love. But the forces out in the world just go to face for me sometimes. Grateful to have such kind friends like you who visit. Have a super great weekend! Anita
