Blogger Meetup In Chicago: The Vivienne Files

You can't visit the city of Chicago without a celebrity sighting and here she is...the fabulous Janice of THE VIVIENNE FILES.  She is a rock star among fashion bloggers...pulling numbers some of us only dream of...and helping women 30+ find options in their closets they never realized were there.
She took me to one of Chicago's current hot spots...GT Fish & Oyster!  She is a friend of Top  chef, Giuseppe Tentori, and not only did he stop by the table to say hello, but he also sent over one of his favorite entrees and desserts!  Amazing!  There we sat, both donned in Eileen Fisher, sipping a buttery white wine, and enjoying the best Oyster Po'Boy Sliders (my new favorite food) I have ever tasted. (Truth is, oysters of any kind have never passed these lips til now).  He sent over the Rigatta Gnocchi, pictured here.
His choice for us was the carrot cake above, but my fond dreams of Chicago will always include the chocolate pie (peanut brittle crust) below:
We spent the evening with non-stop talk of blogging, fashion, Eileen Fisher, relationships, books, and Chicago...it will be a favorite memory always.  She has big plans on the horizon and I will not steal her thunder...but if you are not following Janice, do so today!  I enjoyed her so much ...right down to the classy fan she carries for those "hot flash" moments!! Thanks Janice and Giuseppe for a fabulous, delicious time.

HAVE A WONDERFUL FRIDAY, EVERYONE!  I return to San Antonio today!!  Farewell, Windy City...it was so much fun!

  13. I really enjoy Janice's blog and wanted to wish her well in her new endeavor only something changed recently and I can't seem to post comments. I don't have a Twitter or Facebook account. Perhaps that's the reason ? ? ?
