This & That Thursday!

Hello, everyone!!  I hope your week has been a good one and that all are warm and safe.

My outfit today is an oldie but goodie.  I actually wore this last spring when I was a panel moderator at the Texas Style Council’s Blogger Seminar…it was great fun.  The jacket and white blouse are from Chico’s and the capri pants from Talbot’s.  I know you see these shoes often, but I love them…my Sam EdleDman leopard flats from DSW.

Here are a few fun tidbits to go along with today’s post!!  First….

How to Achieve Spa-Like Treatments at Home

If you enjoy spending time at the spa, you undoubtedly, will love these at home spa treatments. Luckily for you, you don’t have to break the bank to get the same Oscar-glow the celebs had recently! You can try these recipes in the comfort of your own home with your friends for a girl’s night, or you can simply enjoy them alone.

The Chocolate Strawberry Facemask
Strawberries are recommended for facial masks because they control the oil balance on the skin. This mask will decrease the appearance of unwanted pimples and will provide hydration through the honey.

Ingredients:
Strawberries (One-Half Cup, Pureed)
Cocoa Powder (One-Fourth Cup)
Honey (3 Tablespoons)
Directions: Combine all the above ingredients in a small bowl. If the mixture is too runny, add more cocoa powder. Wash your face before applying the facemask. Then, apply the mask with your hands while avoiding the mouth and eyes. Allow the mask to sit on the face for 15 to 20 minutes and then, wash the mask off with warm water. After the warm water rinse, splash the face with cool water. This will close the pores.

“Looking and feeling great is something all men and women should be able to experience, without having to pinch pennies. I enjoy sharing tips and recipes like these because I see them used on a daily basis at SkA:nA, the premier spa of Turning Stone Resort and know they can work!” – Michelle Pino

  2. The comment about Ska-Na at the Turning Stone Resort caught my eye. I live about 20 minutes away from there and have been to Ska Na for a spa day– wonderful!

Also, not to ruin your day, Pam, but did you read that What Not To Wear will leave the air after season 10? I was crushed.
