Teaching With Style!

I read this phrase recently and thought of Gigi!  She waters creative gardens every day as an amazing art teacher.  Her confidence as a teacher is a huge part of her great style!

Gigi believes that every human being has creativity inside of them and that she can teach ANYONE to draw....I have witnessed her take the most complacent teenager and turn them into award winning artists.  After 20+ years, she is known for turning scholastic artwork into thousands of dollars of scholarship monies.

The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo hosts an art competition every year and Gigi's students are known as some of the top contenders.  Here are a few of my favorite entries this year:

"The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires."  - William Arthur Ward

Have a wonderful Saturday!  May everyone in the snow be safe!

  1. Hooray for teachers. Where would we be without you?

  2. Wow, very talented students. These are wonderful.

  3. Very impressive! And I love that Gigi has a Caravaggio in her art room.

I'm sure you're an inspiring teacher, too!

  4. Great post, Pam.
    Have a lovely weekeend.

  5. Ever since I read Drawing with the Right Side of Your Brain, I'm convinced that anyone can draw. I wouldn't mind having some lessons from Gigi myself! Beautiful artwork by her students. I know they will do well. Thanks for taking a minute to celebrate such an awesome teacher.

  6. Both you and Gigi inspire me. I believe teaching to be one of the most important professions in our culture. Thank you for all that you do to prepare the next generation for whatever comes their way.

  7. This art work is amazing!! Such vibrant colors.

  8. WOW!!! I wish I could be in her class... I stopped drawing much when I started working, and now I've lost my touch.

Thanks so much for joining in our conversation today! I appreciate your time and love hearing from you!
