This has been a great week for over50feeling40....the most reads ever and a feature on the Huffington Post! I am truly humbled and so glad to have each and every new reader.
My son is also currently on the cover of Taga Sports Magazine, a quarterly publication in Saipan!! He played quarterback this season for their semi-pro team, the Saipan Sharks!
Have a wonderful weekend ahead!!

Congratulations, Pam! You deserve each and every accolade. And congratulations also to your son! Very impressive.
ReplyDeleteI ordered some coated denim skinny jeans that look sort of like leather pants. Tight leather pants. Eek! I am supposed to receive them tomorrow...fingers crossed that they work out for me. I really want a pair.
Other than that, I am on the hunt for practical things like rain booties, parkas, and walking shoes as we are taking my stepdaughter to Paris in a couple of months. We want to stay as dry and comfortable as possible!
Very excited for you, Pam. I have a feeling this is really your year!
xoxo, A
You are so sweet Adrienne!! But, if it is my year...you will let me go to Paris with you!!! Just dreaming...thank you for the kind words! I can't wait to see the pants!
DeleteI love the Ann Taylor dress - but then I usually love anything from Ann Taylor. Congrats on bloggy successes :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Vicki...I like Ann Taylor also!
DeleteCongratulations on your accolades, all well and truly deserved! To try on, I would love something from Carla Zampatti - would spend all my time just rubbing my fingers and eyes over her fabric and designs. Dreams...
ReplyDeleteThanks Judith...I will check Carla Zampatti out...sounds like I need to touch her garments!!
DeleteCongrats, Pam! The Huffington Post article was soooo good!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to curve my shopping for a little while....saving to remodel our home.
How proud you must be of your son! Wow!
I am also trying to slow down with shopping, but I love to try things on and I will continue to hit Goodwill. Now is the best time!! I am sooooo proud of my son and always have been!
DeleteLove the tunic, love the wrap dress, love the picture of your son!
ReplyDeleteAnd the Huff Post slide show was a blast (from the past) and so much fun!
Hi Pam. Congratulations to you. I am going to trot over to HP to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try on the tunic sweater and the wrap dress - shopping vicariously is fun, too! Congrats on the HuffPo feature - you deserve it!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet, Lynne. Thank you and I hope you have a better weekend with your family.
DeleteI love all of those things and I miss shopping too... No money OR time! I just joined the GenFab group, but have been lurking on here for a while..well, I'm coming out of the proverbial closet! Nice to meet you and so happy to have found a group of blogging women to hang with!!
ReplyDeleteLee, WELCOME!! It is so great to have you. I hope to see your comments often! Happy weekend!
DeleteOh Pam aren't you just bursting with pride for your son?!'
ReplyDeleteI always love to see what is new at Chico's, they always have a look you can pull all together.
Congrats Pam you deserve the press and recognition for all you do! Plus you always give me hope!

I'd like to have that Chico's duster - in paisley! And I'd like that dressing room, too.
ReplyDeleteYou're a superstar, Pam!
Good Morning Pam, Congratulations and how proud you must be of your son.
ReplyDeleteI love the cross over dress and the tunic....it is beautiful. I am a Windsmoor Women....I love their clothes, for me they are just perfect. They are sold in the House of Fraser. Pop over and take a look, I think you will like the styles.
Have a lovely day.
Best Wishes
Daphne
I agree with you , Daphne. House of Fraser has some excellent choices! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteHow exciting for both you and your son getting some press love! I am going on a shopping ban for 2013 I think. I hope to write about it soon. I think I am just done with a lot of things and shopping should be right there at the top of the list. I want to save money, maybe buy one fabulous thing in 2 or 3 years, and shop my own closet! That being said I do love that striped duster. Oh the temptations of the world! Have a great weekend. XO, Jill
ReplyDeleteI would definitely try on the Chico's duster and the Soft Surroundings tunic. Sadly, the only clothing I plan to shop for in the near future is new bras! I hate bra shopping but sometimes a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to both you and your son :>)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Quite the honor for both you and your son. What a great way to start the new year :) Although spring fever has already set in, my only new purchase has been a new winter coat, but that black and white Ann Taylor dress certainly has me dreaming of a shopping spree.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! Best of luck to you and your son. Chico's is the best, their pants are the only ones that fit me. When they have a sale plus $ or % off, their clothes are so inexpensive.
ReplyDeleteFor me, the dressing room is an exercise in torture. Just yesterday, I took an ENORMOUS pile of clothing into the dressing room at Fashion Bug. The whole chain is being closed, so everything is 70-80% off. Only half a bag's worth of clothing even remotely fit :(
ReplyDeleteI did scoop up a few goodies, though!
