Soft Surroundings...My Dream Store

If I could design my dream clothing store, it would look something like this:

Attentive, Knowledgeable service with a smile
Classic wardrobe selections like you might find at a Talbot’s
Fun, creative wardrobe selections like you might find at Chico’s
Unique accessories….fun shoes not seen most places
       Quality, luxurious fabrics
Great fit, and a large selection of sizes from petites to plus size
       Beautiful in-store décor and displays
Affordability including sales and an outlet

That is my dream place…however, if you added a fabulous beauty bar area and amazing home décor on top of this…well, it would just be icing on the cake!  That, ladies, is Soft Surroundings!   My visit to the new store at La Cantera was so much fun….Gigi and I were very impressed with the store and the ladies working with Yvonne, the dynamic store manager.  I went in not expecting to discover my wedding weekend wardrobe there, but that is exactly what happened!!  I am now ready for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding….in the wedding colors no less. (Those outfits will be featured after the wedding weekend end of December!)

I realize I am going out on a limb to say this is currently my “dream store.”  But, I am serious that I found almost everything and, yet, a little more that I have desired to find in one location. Having the wonderful pages of the Soft Surroundings catalog literally come alive before me, just made me smile. If there is any thing which needs improvement, it would be the jewelry selections and prices...other than that, well, you can tell I was impressed.  I hope to go back and tell you in separate posts about the beauty area and the home décor…the furniture is gorgeous and not constructed until your order is placed.  But, I will save all of this for another post in the future.
Store Manager, Yvonne, is a perfect hostess!

There is one other store from my past I shop primarily for fit, but the service is horrible.  In fact, the ladies seem annoyed when I stop by...so I have just stopped stopping by!  Now, for this moment in time,  I have a replacement...thanks, Soft Surroundings.

If you are local, go by The Shops at La Cantera and tell Yvonne that over50feeling40 sent you…she will give you a big smile and all of the attention you want!

Have a wonderful Tuesday and make sure you enter the giveaway for a Soft Surroundings Topper HERE!
She really did want this other customer's skirt...but, it was the last one in the store.
Yvonne and her crew to the rescue...they found it online for Gigi and it is on
its way to her right now!

  11. Wow...absolutely gorgeous! We don't have a Soft Surroundings store anywhere near us. I'm getting ready to head over to enter your give-away!

I know what you mean about stores where the employees act like they're annoyed you're there...or that you're just not quite up to their level of class. Good for you to deny them your business!
