This week I have introduced you to some gifted Boomer
artists, making a difference in their individual fields of expertise. Jan Barboglio is the last, but definitely not
the least. One of the queens of home décor,
Jan is someone I would love to sit down with over a cup of tea and just talk
woman to woman. You can tell there are many stories sitting behind those eyes.

Dynamic personality….this is what I immediately thought at
first meeting…she greeted me with so much warmth for a moment it felt like I
was in her living room and not standing beside her as she signed Barboglio creations
in Neiman Marcus at the Shops of La Cantera.
She takes beautiful metals and fashions them into
captivating, strong artworks for any home, but I have to say, a perfect fit for San
Antonio, Texas, and Southwestern settings.
She is inspired by the Mexico she loves, her childhood home …the land,
the culture, the people, the heritage. I saw so many pieces I would love to have
in my home…each one a conversation piece.
You will also love the fact that the coat she is wearing was purchased at a resale shop! However, you could tell the creation she is most proud of was standing just a few feet away…her son Angus!

Jan Barboglio is proof that life after 50 can be full of joy
and fun! If you get an opportunity to
meet her or see her work, take it…it is worth your time!
