Finding My Fall Wish List at Goodwill!

Whenever the fall looks hit the fashion scene, I begin to lament over my serious lack of funds.  However, if I take my seasonal wish list with me into GOODWILL, I can usually come close to fulfilling my desires.  For example, the skirt pictured below from Talbots’ new line has been on my wish list ever since I laid eyes on it.   I went on a recent Goodwill shopping spree with the skirt swimming in my head and found a practically new Lane Bryant version…which I believe was from Fall 2011.

Currently at Talbots for $109
My version from Goodwill for $3.99
The Talbots skirt was pictured in the catalog with a bright blue sweater…so I pulled out this bright blue blouse to style my version.  Just as cute….with more money in my pocket.  It is worth it to take your fall wish list to Goodwill and see what you can find.  I hope you enjoy the pictures from other treasurers I found at our Highway 281@ Bitters location.  Then go enjoy the ladies from VISIBLE MONDAY and MONDAY MINGLE; and make sure you have your own fabulous Monday!!

  6. The blue blouse is so just gorgeous with the skirt. In recent months, I thrift for myself with a very short list, as I have most everything I need. I'm looking for a green cardigan...that is eluding me!

  10. Lovley outfit, and I am so jealous. All our Goodwill (and similar stores have) is worn out children's clothes, polyster outfits and run down shoes. Nothing at all that I could use.

  12. That blue blouse immediately caught my eye. Your version looks every bit as good as the Talbots inspiration.
Did you end up buying that orange western looking jacket. I just love that!

  21. I wish we had the fab mdse in Goodwill here that you do there. I went just yesterday and I did not find a single piece in my size. I did find some smaller size items that were good buys, but anything plus size is worn out and not that great to start with. The shoes are really, really awful.
Nevertheless, I am thrilled that you are able to find such wonderful items!I love the combo of cobalt blue with black and white.

  22. It looks like I would be saving so much money, that it almost makes sense going to the US just to shop at Goodwill!

Your skirt is great - and just what I've been looking for, for two years now! I need a pencil skirt in this pattern, but I can't find it in my size. Glad that you succeeded! It's lovely with the blue top!
