Denim Shirts and Cowgirl Hats: Let’s Rodeo!
Monday marks the beginning of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, voted seven years in a row the top indoor large rodeo by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association. Also, over the years the Rodeo has provided over 113 million scholarships for local youth.

For the next two weeks, rodeo is an excuse for the most over-the-top-Western attire to be worn often! So, we pull out the denim shirts, cowboy hats, boots, turquoise, silver, leather, and feathers and enjoy all the cliché comments about Texans!! It really is a fun time and we are San Antonio proud whenever the rodeo rides into town. Over this past weekend, the trail riders arrived from their time fighting the elements and the San Antonio Spurs rode out for a lengthy road trip where all local eyes are not on them for this short amount of time.
It seemed appropriate for VISIBLE MONDAY to celebrate the Rodeo’s visibility with a denim shirt and Western belt. For the most part, my Western wear is very understated. Though born and bred Texan, I have never felt comfortable in a Cowgirl hat…and I have tried often! But denim and jewelry…bring it on! Let’s Rodeo!

Pam–I actually own a cowboy hat, but I can think of only one time I've worn it. Hm, you may have given me an idea. Your bracelet is beautiful. Hope all of the rodeo days are good ones for you and San Antonio.
Love the outfit. I love the fact that Texans are over the top in the way they dress. I would love to be able to wear boots and a cowboy hat 365 days a year. Loved the pictures from the rodeo. More please.
I love the way you do rodeo, Pam – it's very Texas and very you! Gorgeous accessories. Thanks so much for lining up to Visible Monday, you look fabulous!
Wonderful cowboy photos, and you really look like a proper cowgirl.
Loving your boots, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Pam, you look fabulous! I love the belt. You should send a photo to Wendy Brandes, she has a slideshow she is putting together for the Huff Post on wearing button down denim shirts. Today is the deadline for it.

I love western look!! Seriously, since I was young…the only problem is that I'm Asian, and it's tough to do a western look without looking weird. I do have some cowboy boots tho! Your denim shirt and the bold belt is just wonderful!
You need to wear chambray more often. Looks great on you
