IFB Autumn Uniforms: The Dark Side

I am going to pause my current”ENCOURAGEMENT SERIES” for just a moment to participate in IFB’s Autumn Uniform challenge. I started to look over my posts since autumn technically began and would sum up my wardrobe choices with one word: GRAY!

Now, I realize for some it can seem a bit dreary, but I love gray and obviously gravitate toward it. I love it with almost every color I can think of, including browns and greens. Elegant sophistication seems to me the best way to describe this neutral.

When walking through quotes about the color gray, most associate it with cold, dreary, winter, depressed days. But, I prefer to look at the color and think cozy, dignified, sophisticated, warmth.

What are your thoughts on gray?? After you tell me, then head over to IFB’S FALL UNIFORM PROJECT and check out some other bloggers and their cool autumn looks…..

  1. Grey is my favorite neutral. It's softer than black, and goes well with just about any other color. Love grey/rust, grey/cognac, grey/green combos especially.

And LOVE seeing all of your grey ensembles here!

  2. I do tend to wear more gray in the fall/winter months. I like that is so neutral and looks great paired w/ most colors! Can't believe it's almost 90 degrees in Texas. I just got back from Logan's soccer game and it was FREEZING! xo

  3. You know Gray is the new black this season,
Who the heck cares. It's a nice neutral.
I just wanted to let you know I've been blog free for over a week and I'm back. Will be checking up on you.
I just posted a new trending post. I think I remember reading a beautiful post of yours on fall decorations……….

  4. I love gray! I'm a bit obsessed with black, but gray is my new neutral. I especially like it paired with orange and navy!
    xx

  5. well I hate to say Pam, but I stay away from grey. Not in my color pallette. And winters are just sooo grey here so I have had enough!
You look great in grey tho–so go for it girl!

  6. It's funny. I love the color gray, and when I was in high school, my grandmother was knitting each of her grandchildren an afghan. We just had to tell her the color, and she would knit it. I was her favorite (really, I was … she was the most amazing lady). I say that because I wanted her to knit me a gray one. I thought it would be so beautiful, and she REFUSED! She said she wasn't going to knit with the colors of a battleship! And I couldn't get her to change her mind, no matter how much I pleaded with her. No battleship gray for her. So I ended up with a pale yellow.
