Energy Renewal: How Do You Do It?

has made it a little more relaxing!  But,
the chaos of three family workers

This week has been tough!  I confess it....I had to follow a grueling wedding weekend with work, family, and post-wedding duties.  I wish I could have just chilled for a few days, but it was necessary that I jump right back in to life!!

I have tried to eat very healthy....take my vitamins...go to bed early...but I am just now beginning to feel a little like my old self!  So, it occurred to me to ask you, sweet readers, how you do it??  How do you get a refreshing shot of energy when you cannot stop life and relax??

Are there any secrets out there that anyone would like to share??

  1. I do just what you did: take vitamins and go to bed early. I am the type of person that NEEDS my alone time to regenerate so I'd probably find an empty room and hide out. LOL

  2. No secrets here - just a lot of bed-time. The day after my own wedding I slept for 10 hours, from sheer exhaustion. For short time periods, I usually just lie down with a book on my chest, and think of nothing else.

    Whatever makes you feel good, my friend -- do it and enjoy the weekend! Beautiful bride and groom!

  5. lovely photo! You know sweet Pam, sometimes you just have to kick your feet up and relax, it;s your turn. Hoping your weekend is a nice one. Thinking of you and sending ♥

  6. Right now I am taking care of a very ill person, my mom. I have an awful time resting. I have relaxation CD's . I listen to them and they help put me to sleep. I also am taking private exercise time with a trainer. I sleep wonderfully at night after training time.

  7. I'm probably a bad one to ask, since I often struggle with low energy and routinely sleep 10 hours on weekends. But I do think it's important to sleep as much as you want, have some alone time, and limit commitments. And don't apologize for any of the above! (Gentle exercise is good, too, especially walking).

    I know for myself that post-event let down can add to feeling tired. And drinking lots of water improves everything. I hope you have a very low key, restful weekend. I agree with Anne @ The Frump Factor, being tired after all of that is not about age but about being alive. Be gentle with yourself.

  14. I think we go through most of our life tired...lol. I get tired if I go out 2 days in row--let alone a wedding with all the stuff that goes along with it! My friends were tired for months afterward....dont mean to scare you but it takes a lot out of you~

  15. Pam, I think that we NEED to take the time to take care of ourselves. Really look at what we are doing. Going in high gear all of the time is hard on a gal.

  17. My biggest lift comes from my nightly meditation. I take 15 minutes every night to just breath deeply and relax every muscle in my body. I find it very refreshing.
