On This Night, On This Night, On This Very Christmas Night!

First Out on the Cuidad!
Tree of Peace Covered in Doves

If you have never been to San Antonio, I highly encourage you to visit this unique place where cultures blend beautifully. We are one of those cities that put its best foot forward at Christmas…especially with the lighting of our Riverwalk. Mr. Bear and I began date night at Paloma Blanca, currently one of the city’s top Mexican restaurants settled in the upscale village of Alamo Heights.

I highly recommend my selection…Enchiladas Dimas. A shrimp and mushroom enchilada with white wine sauce…Oh yeah!

Did we hear Mariachis on the River…NO!
We heard Bagpipes!

Next, on to the Concert!
Yes in Texas at Christmas it helps to carry
a fan!
The musicians are really incredible!  She really
burned the calories over 3 hours

We wound our way through downtown on the way to the AT& T Center (where the San Antonio Spurs usually play) and then joined 14,000 of our closest friends for the Trans Siberian Orchestra’s Christmas Concert. Though I felt like I was really at a KISS concert…the musicians were very talented, the pyrotechnics very hot, the lasers very cool, and it was an experience. Though one we believe we would not repeat…I guess we are getting old. We both use to be able to heavy metal with the best of them…but after three hours of metal and bright lights, we were glad to go home….but I do want to stress that it is worth experiencing once!

WHAT DID I WEAR??

    San Antonio is great
    Been there a few times.
Last time was about 2 years ago.
Your concert sounds like it was super

  2. Oh my goodness, the enchiladas sound delicious! I like going to concerts as much to watch what other people are wearing as to dress up myself. You look lovely…though I don't envy you the sounds. 🙂

  3. Looks like you had a lot of fun, and you looked very pretty doing so. I love the idea of a deep-colored velvet jacket for festive holiday events.
And, thanks for your nice comment on my blog regarding my boots… although it never occured to me that I'd need confidence to wear them… now you've got me worried I shouldn't be sporting them for some reason! Ah well.. go forth and wear boots!

  4. Pam, I had no idea you live in SA! It's my favorite city in TX. I went to AIT at Ft Sam Houston and when I got out of the Army, I moved back there. My oldest sons were born in Santa Rosa Hospital. You lucky dog! By the way, you look gorgeous! ~Serene

  5. I so enjoy your blog. I live in Ft. Worth and it is so nice to read ideas from someone who lives here and battles the same summers I do! I have a question. I want to start wearing belts but I need to wear mine on my hips to give the illusion of a longer torso but I can't figure out how to make the belts stay in place they either fall to low or ride to high or move around. Any suggestions?

  6. Hi Debbie,
WELCOME! I love Ft. Worth…the beauty of downtown is wonderful and at least you get a little cooler weather than we do down here! Just because of you, I have added a page to answer questions from readers…check it out…you are the first question!

  7. Those guys in the ball caps!
    Love your wal-Bling 🙂
Looks like a great evening, and ah to need a fan at Christmas 😉
    On the leggings?
So many people that know me, don't give my outfits a second glance.
I did get a compliment from a female stranger.
